Thanks. I think I need to try it in another browser or it might have indeed been that my total was below the minimum. Still playing around finding more titles to add.

Combined this with the 100% rebate on Club memberships, and got $87.77 micropay for $100.38 spent, plus 2 coupons, for a total of $107.77 credit for $100.38 spent. Not bad, IMO.

Exactly what I did except I only did a 1 yr membership since I was already a member through Oct. 2010.
52.72 - Total (1 yr membership + 5 books) 46.63 - *Rebate (Added to your Micropay account) +$10 coupon = $56.63 credit on the $52.72 spent |

If you can afford it, you should buy enough memberships to run through 2015, because Fictionwise occasionally does sales for 100% Micropay on any book if your Buywise membership is for at least 5 years. I'm not sure, but you might even be able to use your Micropay balance to pay for your Buywise membership. If so, you might as well buy a few more, one at a time, just for the free books (not that I ever game the system like that). |

![]() Edit: Yes, the membership is correctly coded that you must use a CC for the micropay...at least this is the message you get: ALERT! You are purchasing (Buywise Club--1 Year Membership, All Night Long, Death Is Forever, She's No Princess, Key To Her Heart, Captive Angel, Heaven In Her Eyes [Romsus Trilogy Book 2], Home for the Holiday) using your Micropay account. In order to receive the Micropay rebate, you must purchase the eBook(s) using a credit card. So I decided not to extend any further at the moment. I'm good to Oct. 2011. And I MUST STOP BUYING!!! I'm scared of my total right now. My To Be Read folder is truly out of control right now. Last edited by texasnightowl; 12-16-2009 at 10:17 PM. |

Ok, I couldn't resist the urge any longer and bought my first books from Fictionwise.
I got "Arctic Drift" by Clive Cussler and "Roving Mars" by Steve Squyres for a total of $19.89 and now I have $15.73 in Micropay rebates. 2 books for $4.16 is pretty good! I think Arctic Drift might be a mistake since it has a 100% rebate and doesn't have any geo-restrictions, so those of you not in the US might want to grab it while you can. |

The 100% rebate isn't a mistake. Fictionwise regularly have a few ebooks at 100% rebate when bought with new money, not with micropay.
Occasionally they do make a mistake and a 100% rebate is available when paying with micropay, which really does mean a free book. By choosing when to buy, you can average 50% discount or more over the long term. Quote:

I know they do have 100% rebate items. What I think might be a mistake is that it doesn't have any geographic restrictions. It's one of only 5 Clive Cussler books (and the only ePub) that seems to be available to my region. The other Clive Cussler 100% rebate book "The Wrecker" has geo-restrictions in place.

Oh, I see. It's impossible to tell - it all depends on the contracts for each book. between author and publisher.

Now this is far too much fun. It's a good thing Fictionwise has a limited selection for my region otherwise I would be going flat broke with all the purchases. With some careful planning I managed to use the Micropay rebates I received with my first purchase to get 5 more books.
So for my initial spend of $19.89 I got 7 books (2 Multiformat and rest secured ePub) which comes to $2.84 a book. Very nice! As a matter of interest I tallied up the local paperback prices for the books and it comes to around $70 - $100. So the ebooks work out at 3x - 5x cheaper! I also have some very bad news for the rest of you. I found another 25% discount coupon for Fictionwise that will be valid till 31 Dec, so hide your credit cards! Enter: jk25 to get a 25% discount on your order. |

Arghh... I /MUST/ remember, that when there's a 10% rebate on buywise membership, it makes more sense to buy that than books! |
