I have to confess that I miss the fun of going into bookstores. From where I live there aren't any nearby. But it's hard to go into one without coming out with something and now that I've had my Sony I can't bring myself to buy a book. So I make up for my "need" by buying books for my daughter. Do you like this one? How about the whole series? You really do need some more books, even if you are growing out of your clothes? Books first! Then we'll worry about clothes. She likes to wear the same few outfits over and over and over and over again, so this can wait. Then she just throws them (her clothes) on the floor. At least she takes better care of her books! Is this what you'd call rationalizing? Well, it works for me.

I have this friend who's a bit worried 'cos they like reading out loud from p-books with their book buddy. It is legal isn't it? I mean, other people can't tell can they?

Sky light!?!?! I want the entire roof and back wall (where there is none atm) covered with books. No room for sky lights or windows in any form.

And what is a throw rug.

Chars?!?!? Hammocks! We've got two, one big big one and a chair hammock. And there will be couches underneath the books and I want a sitbag...

You need the skylight for natural light......the best reading light of all......and it doesn't have to be big, get a solar tube like we have in our spare bath with no window...Just a teeny hole in the roof but floods the room with light......Imagine being there on a snowy/rainy day......awesome.......

A throw rug is just a little rug you can 'throw' down anywhere.....for coziness......

This is what we got:

http://www.solatube.com/homeowner/

They installed on a tile roof, and we've had it since we moved in here, 6 years ago.

I especially didn't want windows in that part of the attic, but we've two windows there already. You can see the sunlight streaming in on the picture...

And we'll most likely get a solar tube in the kitchen.

So do I. I have a fantastic B&N by me that's a huge L-shaped store with floor to ceiling glass windows on 5 sides. I have never seen a bookstore that bright. That place just makes me happy.

Ironically, I did just buy something called "Paberbax" It's a hand holder to keep paperbacks flat, but also has a stand. It's really clever and feels well made. I figured if I got something to prop up my books and keep the pages flat when I'm doing other things like working out or eating, then I'll get through my paper books that I don't plan to keep. For the most part, I don't like paperbacks, so I usually give them away unless they are some sort of reference book.
