Interestingly, I'm getting a lot of e-mails asking for advice, recommendations and guidance in self-publishing e-books... more than the sales I've made on the article. I hadn't really expected that. Quite a number of questions I have referred to this site, or TeleRead, after giving them my 2 cents' worth. But it seems the biggest impact of the article so far is that I am becoming better known for my technical knowledge on e-books, than for my writing.

I'm still trying to decide how good a thing that is...

It's always a great thing to be considered an expert. You get to go around spouting information which all us laymen have to accept since you are the expert!!

Actually, I think it's great that you are able to help out people trying to get there stuff published in ebook formats. Everybody needs a mentor.

What you need to do is name drop you book titles like crazy in your replies and also use your books to give specific examples of how you resolved issues. This way they'll buy your book to better understand your explanation .

On a more serious note exposure is good so long as it doesn't shift your focus.

In the "One good interview deserves another" department...
I was recently contacted by writer Gary Dobbs of The Tainted Archive, who expressed a desire to have me answer some e-book questions for him. I believe the interview should be turning up on The Tainted Archive anytime within a week, now.
