I'm very interested to know how long it takes to get here. Mind updating us as well as any charges you may face at customs? I'm considering the PP myself over buying one locally.

According to this post you probably won't have to pay any import fees to Australia.

Bought many items form US (cameras, mobile phones, chip, gadgets, and camera lens) and Hong Kong, up to $2000 in price, and have not needed to pay any taxes or have the purchases delayed for any reason in past.

Quick question Robertb: if i order a PP to Mexico (send via USPS Priority International) do it have insurance in case the packet get lost? Do you need a sign to check if the buyer got his/her packet? Thanks in advance.

Did you have to pay anything to customs?

3 day delivery is not bad at all from one country to another. Takes me longer to send a letter from poor old Tassie to NSW.

I just got a *letter* from German customs asking me to tell them what really is in the package and what I really paid for it. The proof must be in Deutsch, so I cannot use the Astak customs declaration( in English). I am hoping that my PayPal transaction receipt will satisfy them. Isn't bureaucracy a wonderful thing to have to deal with.

Wow, that must sucks for you My Blue PP is still in transit I hate how SEPOMEX treat mail/parcels like is not important and just waste time, i mean, my PP got shipped from US Saturday 12, got to Mexico Tuesday 15, leave Customs Tuesday 15 at 10 AM and since then it just says it got sended to my city (that is 8 hours away by bus). And is 4 days and counting and the PP hasnt reached my city

EDIT: Better yet, the tracking says:

15/09/2009 10:01:27 COD Aereos Benito Juarez Enviado a Destino COR Guadalajara Jal
15/09/2009 09:37:24 MEXICO AEREO D.F. Salida de Aduana
15/09/2009 07:28:08 MEXICO AEREO D.F. Entrada en Aduana
15/09/2009 07:26:49 ISC SAN FRANCISCO (USPS) Entrada al Pais MEXICO AEREO D.F.

Acording to them it entered the country at 07:26:49 hours, logged into Customs 2 minutes later, leave Customs at 09:37:24 hours and got shipped to my city at 10:01:26 hours. What do you think of this "lovely" postal service?

It seems you are having difficulties too.

In regards to a previous post of yours regarding insurance, the customs declaration that I received indicates that the shipment IS covered by insurance. So, yours probably is too, although I have no idea what proof is required.
