Pengy it is, enjoy it Cat!

Some people could have done this in a fart, I'm not fortunate enough to afford such luxuries in a flash. But I am fortunate to have you in my life.

BTW this is the only time slot I have left for a while to communicate. Overtime has started for the next 2 months. I will be tied in for 11hour shifts every day but fridays. I'll be able to read a little just before sleep though.

Oooh... is there any way I can retroactively tell them this is a gift and they shouldn't be charging tax?

YEA! UPS status says DELIVERED at 6:35! Cat picked it up and said the place was 45 mins from where she lived. So, I expect to see her posting about it pretty soon now.

I so hope it works after all this. I packed it as well as I could, but the UPS freight monkeys had it for quite a while.

This evening, I saw a UPS notice on the door. Called my dad. Apparently, him and BOb had a talk behind my back, and BOb actually sent me his Sony!!!!!!!!

This is the most wonderful, generous, grand gesture I could ever imagine! An e-book reader is waiting for me somewhere around town, MY OWN READER!!!! I just can't believe it, can't wrap my head around it, can't thank BOb enough for it!!! I'll be grateful forever!!!

And thanks dad for paying postage and brokerage fees!!!

Can't believe it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So here:

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you so much!
Of course you never want to ASK for something like that. You just cross your fingers, and wish really really hard, and your own personal wish pixie takes care of the rest, right???

BOb, that was super nice of you. Actually, incredibly spectacularly nice. In the OMG, WOW category.

So by 7:30 she should have it all unpacked... Methinks she started reading something. G.d knows when she'll re-surface! I'm quite sure she's enjoying it - or she's trying to fix it :-(

Thanks again, Bob, for bringing joy to such a nice person.

I'm home!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG I'm freaking out!!! I did read your note, BOb, thank you! And I started Huck Finn, but my boyfriend had a romantic dinner in mind, that's why it took me a while to get back (he's not even mad at me for keeping Pingy between us all along, yay!)

Pingy in himself is in perfect condition, thanks to the bubble wrap (added bonus ), he is all shiny, working perfectly, super-portable, his outfit is soft to the touch and pretty sexy, and he's overall a miracle! When I unpacked it on the way to the car, Whitney Houston's "I will always love you" came to mind!!! Official soundtrack of this love story?

BOb, thank you soooooooooooooooo much!!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!
And thank you Dad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm in love!

I'm so happy your happy with it and it made in from Florida to Quebec in working condition. Your Dad said to wipe it clean, but I figured I would leave the PD and Creative Commons stuff on it... cause you would want to open it and use it right away.

I feel like a parent on Christmas day that gets his kid something that they really wanted but never thought they would get because it is too expensive.

Enjoy it!

"Pingy?" I thought someone suggested Pengy.... but please give it a name like... well don't name it, it is a gadget for goodness sakes.

It IS Pengy, I just pronounce it weird with my darn accent (penguin is pingouin in French), so I wrote it wrong! Sorry! And nah, it's not just a gadget, it's way much more than that! And it's a beautiful, amazing gift, Something incredible... Thank you so much!!!! And thanks for leaving those books, I really enjoyed using it upon opening!
