Opus is sold for 250€ + 10€ delivery (in France).

For the Gen3, the firmware is marked as 2.0 build 709 (latest are build 800+ if I remember well), there is a 404 error on download.

Now it says 2.0 (build 796), but downloads 1_2_796

here is a new video of the opus by the CEO of Simplicissimus, Antonio Tombolini. he demonstrates that the opus is truly pocket-sized (for pockets of the appropriate size

) and shows off the accelerometre.

audio (very low volume) in italian.

Does it only have one colour? I don't like white devices!

so far as i know, it's only available now in white. perhaps you could get a skin for it.

I'm sure that they're going for the (old) iPod and/or Kindle associations.

I don't mind white devices, but don't think it is the best choice for an e-ink device as it makes one perceive the screen background as darker.

Hopefully a skin or dark case will be available.

The reason why I don't like white devices... Everything must have that white Ipod look... I'm more a fan of dark gray/black or metalic look.

That's one side effect I don't like either...

Beside the colour, it really looks like a nice device.

Maybe that's why there is a gray border around the screen?

Black is really a technophile color, not a "everyone else" color. Black is for "serious" things, White is more for entertainment.
