I'm not really clear on what what you mean by an official option. Has adobe taken a stance for or against reflow?

If you have a PocketPC device take a look at Adobe Reader for Mobile. It has reflow built into the application and is probably the best reflow example I've seen it does not lose it's graphics, no weird line breaks or page breaks. You really cannot tell it's a PDF in reflow mode.

How much will this new toy be in US dollars? If it's $340, it'll never sell in the USA as you can get a 700 for about that and a 505 for less.

HTML is supported in the form of XML via ePub.

How can Sony's format not interest you as they too have PDF and ePub support as well as text, RTF, and BBeB (LRF & LRX)?

You may well be right!

Still, I've got the emails promising 'folder management support', "just around the corner - in the next release" from Bookeen throughout. Of course, they've also promised making the Delete button function a few times as well. Thank goodness I've only been waiting for proper firmware updates and not a liver transplant!

Because i already own a cybook that reads the format i need. No point in a psr-500, even now it's available.
Sony's format don't interest me because i can't buy books in that format as the main source, their own website, is us only ->fail !
psr-700 might interest me because of the tactile screen.. Not sold in france -> fail !

and thirdly, epub is an open format, the one supported by the few french publisher that have e-books.
