And here we go again. Diesel finally got around to crediting me for the Bundle, so I spent my gain on:

The Cat, The Quilt, and the Corpse by Leann Sweeney
and
Defending Angels by Mary Stanton (who is also Claudia Bishop)

I did finally find the first one in the Betty Hechtman Crochet Mysteries series and bought it last week - that was the one I learned mobidedrm on

Regardless of the fact that I haven't read the Betty Hechtman yet, who can resist bookstore credit? I've been re-reading some of my Barbara Michaels and Elizabeth Peters books this week. Those are my "comfort" books. But as soon as I'm done with The Camelot Caper I'm starting the Betty Hechtman!

Oh, and Lilac? For more knitting mysteries try Ann Canadeo While My Pretty One Knits and Sally Goldenbaum Death by Cashmere and Patterns in the Sand

Outliers...

Just picked up Outliers by Gladwell from Books on Board. Was able to get an ePub version from them. RA

Thanks for the kind words, rhadin! Book 7 will not be the final Grimm book, but I'm hoping the rest can be stand-alone books instead of a linked series. I also considered doing some one-off backstories for other characters such as Magemaster Crohn.

I am a little stuck on 7 because I don't have a lot of spare time to write at the moment, unfortunately. I had it written but didn't like it. Current realease date I would estimate as sometime in November.

Downloaded to the Reader this week, also courtesy of Fictionwise:
  • Neutron Star by Larry Niven
  • The City and the Stars/The Sands of Mars by Arthur C Clarke
  • Airframe by Michael Crichton

Pleased to join a group of fellow eBook-toters. I love my thousands of print books, but I don't have elastic walls. The Reader is a fabulous invention for the inveterate bibliophile!

I was so impressed with Richard Tuttle's fantasy series The Sword of Heavens (7 books in the series; I posted about it to the Reading Recommendations forum here at MR last week), that this week I bought his Targa Trilogy (3 books obviously ), his Forgotten Legacy series (7 books), and his Demonstone Chronicles series (6 books) from Fictionwise. All are in multiformat, so I downloaded both LRF and ePub formats. Tuttle has become one of my favorite fantasy authors.

Welcome, Dragonblaster, to MR. I look forward to reading book 7 and the future volumes. Be sure to announce their release here on MR. I already have you tagged on Fictionwise as an author to let me know when new books are available.

I also gave your books top ratings at Fictionwise.

Thanks for the support, Richard! I will try to get writing seriously again, soon. All I will say is that Lizaveta doesn't let a little thing like death get in her way.

If I had to choose a character to kill off, it would be her grandson. Definitely obnoxious. I would love to see Grimm and his grandfather Lors reunite and battle Lizaveta. Perhaps Mage Crohn should become head of the guild; I like him.

I've bought Heinlein's "Stranger in a Strange Land", and the new book in the Pendergast series by Preston and Child, "Cemetary Dance".

The Lightning Thief - Rick Riordan
An Abundance of Katherines - John Green

I enjoyed The Lightning Thief, I may pick up book 2 in the series next week, depending on what kind of reading mood I'm in (that 1-Click Amazon buy is just way too easy... and evil).

Currently reading An Abundance... and I'm really enjoying it so far, I didn't really think I would, I prefer the more fiction-y fiction usually. I REALLY hate using the Kindle for this book though, just wish there was an easy way to get to those footnotes instead of scrolling down down down, click, read, back button. Quite annoying. Plus there's the occasional formatting errors too.

This week, I've been more disciplined than usual. I've only "bought" free books at Amazon.com and Sony:
  • Magic Kingdom for Sale--Sold! by Terry Brooks
  • For Love of Mother-Not by Alan Dean Foster
I also picked up the free episode of Nurse Jackie that Amazon was offering.

But, I was unkind to my credit card the last time I shopped at Fictionwise. On 25 May, I bought the following multi-format books and also signed up for one year of the Buywise Club.
  • Chosen Sister by Ardyth DeBruyn
  • Borne On Wings of Steel by Tony Chandler
  • Dust to Dust by Lillian Stewart Carl
  • The Eleven-Hour Fall by Robert B. Appleton
  • From a Changeling Star by Jeffrey A. Carver
  • Panglor by Jeffrey A. Carver
  • Nessie and the Living Stone by Lois June Wickstrom & Jean Lorrah
