You mean me? Because I'm more pragmatic than principled - as long as DRM can still be removed from Amazon books, I'll continue to buy from them occasionally. But I don't buy only from them (and never have).

I no longer use a Kindle. I might reconsider if Amazon releases a truly spectacular Oasis replacement, but at the moment that's not very likely.

Kobo ereaders have their flaws, of course, and I freely admit they tend to be buggier than Kindles were when I still used them; but I strongly prefer Kobo software and general approach to Amazon's as it is today.

It is possible that this could happen. So there will be 2 options (which are not mutually exclusive):

- Connect the Wifi, download and read the books from Amazon on a Kindle e-reader (which is what I think most Kindle users already do because it is so convenient).

- Buy books from other bookshops and read them on the e-reader of your choice (including Kindle e-readers).
