Patch 4.38.23038 don't work on 4.38.23171

Remove recommendations (row1col2) from home screen: does work for me on a Libra 2.

Did you use the patches I posted in the firmware thread for 4.28.23171?

Yes, all of the above worked with the previous firmware on my Forma. And three other ones still work

Can you double check that you actually enabled the patch? The last report for the Sage was a user error.

I did, and reinstalled it again. I installed the standard 4.38.23171 for the 2nd time to make sure I install the right version. To check that I am getting at least some effect from the patch I checked the font size before installing the patch.

Then I installed the patch for the second time, and saw that the font went back to the right size, but those 4 patches I listed in my 1st post still did not work

I don't doubt that three of the patches you mentioned do not work. But Remove recommendations (row1col2) from home screen: does work for me on my Libra 2.

On my Kobo AuraOne, this Cyrillic Keyboard patch (GloHD/ClaraHD/AuraOne/H2O2) works with the latest firmware.

I had to rollback to 4.38.21908 and block the updates. Unfortunately about half of the patches I've been using for years do not work for me in 4.38.23171.
BTW, if anybody needs to block OTA updates in 21908 -- I had to manually apply the fix
from https://github.com/pgaskin/kobopatch-patches/pull/137 to libnickel.so.1.0.0.yaml

That might be why that section of kobopatch.yaml is called overrides.

@DNSB: Yes, now I understood. Until now, I never cared much about this file; don't even remember if it had existed in this way in the former patches.

You don't need to do that at all. We have patches for 4.38.23171. See the following thread where I posted them.

I tried it. See above. Half of the patches I need do not work. That is the only reason I rolled back
