How I managed to set up Dropbox cloud sync with KOReader step by step

looks like dropbox doesn't like the "-u" parameter

Try "curl.exe" instead of curl. Newer Windows/PowerShell has a fake one built in that is compatible with some of the most common cURL commands.

I'm getting a "access_token" after the curl command, but not a "refresh_token". I've gone through all the steps twice (deleted app between, created new app) and KOReader is not able to access my dropbox.

I tried setting up a OneDrive WebDAV connection (which works perfectly fine with WinSCP) but fails with Kindle KOReader. I think it has something to do with the refresh token or something... too bad my GBs of books are all on OD. Anyone have any luck with OneDrive?

Following these instructions, I was able to setup DropBox and it does sync (download only).
Too bad two-way sync is not possible (download AND upload including changed modified PDF files and reading sync files).

Looks like I will have to SSH synchronize every now and then.

i'm having the exact same problem, with the crash file saying invalid_grant", "error_description": "refresh token is malformed"} . really hope someone can help with this :-)

I managed to get things (seemingly) set up after my second try, but I keep running into an error when I try to download files. I can see them in my dropbox from my Kindle, but when I try to download them I get an error reading "could not save file to: /mnt/us/documents/pdfs/example.pdf" , that being where I tried to save up. Looking in that folder, I can see a file with the name of the one I tried to download, but its very small. (113 B in this case) and won't open. I have tried this with a few different files, including a PDF, JPG, and plain text file. None have been bigger then 1 MB with the exception of the JPG. Any advice?

For anyone else with this same issue. When I originally checked all the permissions, somehow "files.content.read" was unchecked. Though I did recheck it, I did it AFTER I generated the refresh token. After making a new refresh token following step five, with "files.content.read" checked, everything is working fine.

I had same problem, just redo curl command on computer.
Log in into developer drop box, check all permissions. Connect kindle to computer. Koreader > Settings

Delete cloudstorage.lua.old

Then open cloudstorage.lua, edit as text file

As soon as you get refresh token, copy it to cloudstorage.lua, save, disconnect kindle, start-up KOReader and you will connect to cloud.
