I wish I had spotted this thread before ordering a PRS505 from Waterstones.

Their customer service is a farce. 3 days to answer email, Phone staff polite but can't do anything.
Their courier delivery a total waste of time. I buy via courier a lot & normally do not have to request tracking details, I have had to ask Waterstones for this three times now and still do not have it.

They chose the courier and is therefore their agent not mine, so the fault is Waterstones
I wonder how many first time customers never buy from them again.

(Rant over, but be warned!)

The reason for the delivery delay was because it was sitting in the courier's depot over an address query.

They could not call me to check because Waterstones, the UK courier, or whoever had not put my contact telephone number on the packet or passed it on electronically. Irritating as I made a point it was essential.

If I had not had to chase Waterstones so many times for the tracking number, (which I only managed to get in the end by threatening them with the wrath of Visa), I would have had it within the time stated. Instead it just sat and sat with nobody doing anything about it. Presumably after the 30 days being returned to source.
