I certainly don't. RSE

It's one thing to be in the States and be killed by a senseless act of terrorism. It is an entirely different thing to be targeted in another country specifically because you are an American and a tourist.

Of course, I won't try to convince anyone else that there is a difference between the two. Nate the Great gets upset whenever I try to make a point, so I won't even try. However, I see a difference between the two.

And, since I've already been to both NYC and DC .... no, I don't so much have any desire to go to either place at the moment.

I agree wholeheartedly. My parents always planned to travel when they retired, but they died instead. Tim & I save money in order to travel. We will never look back and wish we had bought another something to lie around the house getting dusty instead of seeing the Coliseum.

I would not be afraid to visit either, but I would be cautious about my surroundings. Same goes for everyplace on the globe.

Saw Rome. It's a nice place. However, as much as I liked Rome, I don't think I would exactly fold up and die if I didn't go back there again.

Come to think of it, one of the few places I haven't been to is the South Pole. Now, that's a place I would like to see. And, with any luck, there won't be a bunch of hyper-religious nut jobs waiting to kill me when I get there.
