When I get a new ereader, I always sell the old one.
Somebody is getting a good eraeder for a low price. And I spend less on the new one. I really don't know why I would need more than one ereader. |

I only own one dedicated e-reader: My Aura H2O. I do a lot of reading on my Playbook and Tab 2 though. (Mainly PDFs, which the tablets do better than the H2O).

Let's say you buy a Kobo Forma with an 8" screen. The Forma may be too large to take out and about because it doesn't fit in your bag. So you get a Kobo Libra at 7" that does fit in your bag. One for home and one for out and about.

Same thing back in the day with the Sonys. I loved the PRS-650 but used the PRS-350 almost all the time. I'll stick to having just one reader now. And the backup thing doesn't apply to me. I live in a big city (Berlin, Germany), so I can buy a new reader, well, until midnight every day. There is a really big bookshop open until midnight I need to stay away from. ![]() |

I have one ereader, the Clara HD, if you don't count my Touch 2.0 that I have kept in a drawer somewhere. The only reason why I don't have more ereaders is because I am trying to save money. I definitely understand why people would want more ereaders. Me too. For me, the more the better.

I have only my trusty Glo HD, with a bigger sd card. For me, it's still the best, although I would like a waterproof one. Maybe when it dies I will look into it.

2 dedicated readers:
Kindle 4nt (I replaced the Battery) This one is the one I take away from home (read while I wait) Kobo Aura2 <Primary Since 2010 2 @ Astak 5" have bit the dust, and went to the recycle center I also have a Tab A for color and PDF that see rare use as a reader I had a TAB 2, but it failed the 5' drop test big time ![]() |

I have three, but the only one I use is the Kobo Aura One. The Kobo Aura H2O and the Sony is resting. 😉

I have two, Sony 505 which is my main reader and a Sony T-2 which is my backup. I know it should be the other way around, but the 505 was my first reader and remains my favorite.

Those old Sonys have a nice, quality, "feel" to them. But, when I read on a Sony, it's usually my T2 now (which is also well built).

My favorite is my original Kobo H2O. I always read on it at home. I don't take it out of the house. I have a Paperwhite 4 and a Voyage for on the go. I also have a Kobo Mini, but I just store books on it, I don't read on it.
I want to buy the new Kobo Libre, but I will ponder that decision until my birthday in March. I don't want my H2O to become less loved. (The minute I got my H2O I had to sell my Aura HD, because the H2O was SO much better. Made me sad, though). My daughter stole my Glo HD, so at least I can still look lovingly upon it. What I really want is a 6" Kobo that is water proof or resistant. I had to get the PW4 because they haven't made one. Irritating! I vastly prefer the Kobo ereader. My son uses a Kindle Touch with a lighted cover. Still working great! We have a number of tablets, haven't bought a new one since 2016 (when I bought a 2015 Fire HD 8). Considering a trade in for a newer Fire. The kids don't really use their tablets any more. I still use my 2013 Nexus 7 (2nd edition) every day. (Although I guess I should say that my oldest son uses his old Fire Phone as a tablet, since he has a new phone now). |
