I don't recall, Harry, but for me it was at least five. The original Origami cover was unacceptable. My other covers I tried had the wake/sleep feature that wasn't consistent. One had a magnet strong enough that when I folded the cover around to hold it in one hand it would put the Voyage to sleep. All of the covers, other than Amazon, were hard plastic and slick. Putting it down on any surface that wasn't totally level and it would slide and propping it against my beanbag to read while I ate was hopeless.

The best cases I've ever had were the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite case. They just work. I am less concerned than most how it looks. I just want it to protect the device, enhance my holding, and have a wake/sleep feature that works.

is it safe to take off the cover every time , will it break it ? ,i just wonder ,because im planning to buy a KO2 with cover

Nothing to break - it's just held in place with magnets. No physical clips, or anything like that.

This. How I wish Amazon had come up with a PW-style case for the Voyage in addition to the origami case! I am satisfied with my Hotcool case for my Voyage (as opposed to the Fintie, one plastic corner of which broke after minimal use), but I prefer the sturdiness of the Amazon official PW case.

I am satisfied with the waterproof case for my KO2, but then again, my Oasis lives on my bedside table and only leaves the room when I want to load more books on via Calibre. And I usually take it out of the case when I read, as opposed to my PW and Voyage, which stay in their cases at all times.

great news. i've always used decal girl skins. but now i'm also considering skinomi, which is actually available now, though nearly not in as many choices of graphics. anyone used skinomi before? how do they compare?

Same here. Although I suspect, for me, it's also a matter of being more accustomed to its various positions now.

I am a prolific case buyer but this time I've bought both Amazon cases. The Merlot Leather for main use and the Blue water-safe for the bath. IF I ever decide to take it on holiday abroad then I will consider a proper protective case but for now both the Amazon covers suit me fine.

I have the exactly same problem. I suspect the magnets are probably the same as the original Oasis. The larger cover has more “leverage “ making it easier to dislodge the cover.
