I finally managed to get this update on the two H2O I have here and can confirm that the light bug is fixed!

God, that was annoying

Well, i have the edition 2 of the H2O with the latest firmware for a few days now, so i don't know how it behaves with older firmwares. When i push the button it goes to sleep with the light off, so that's ok.
I also have sleepcover (not the official kobo one, but it should work as stated by the manufacturer) and the device should go to sleep when closing the cover. But in this case it doesn't. The device (and light) stay on up until standby kicks in after about 10 minutes... Also, when opening the case the device won't turn on by itself.

Is this also firmware issue, or should i go back to the shop? Or do i really need an original kobo sleep cover?

Thanks in advance for any and all info :-)

A couple of questions. Do you have Automatically sleep and wake up enabled in Settings under Energy Saving and privacy? Have you tested with a magnet to see if it will trigger sleep? I've seen too many third party "sleep covers" that did not have the required magnet or the magnet was not in the right position to trigger sleep mode.

Yes this setting is turned on. The case has a magnet so, i have tried to take out the Kobo and put the magnet of the case along different sides. This has no effect. This is the thing: https://www.hoesjesboetiek.nl/Kobo_a...dition_2_bruin

Maybe the magnet is not strong enough. Have you tried a stronger magnet?

I have tried with another magnet, and the kobo reacts when i hold the magnet to the back, but not when holding it to the front, where the cover magnets are when the cover is closed. Strange...

It's time to call Kobo because it sounds like there's a defect.

Well i tested the device at the shop with the original cover and it works fine with it! So i have already returned the clone cover and ordered an original kobo one...

Thank you all for the tips and help!
