And, ducks, this is a suspense thriller. Not some slow-moving suspense thing. (I'm okay with 'action.') Thanks.
I think it actually improves the cover. I see it as that "minimalist something" that Dr Drib was talking about - but a better option than an image that might seem out of place against the sunlight (unless very skilfully done).

I do think this plainer version needs something, and the tag-line seems a good fit to my eyes.

Maybe the tag line should be just a little bit lower? ... Not sure.

I'm sorry, but for me it just doesn't work: Too many words. I still think a small graphic of some sort is needed, rather than "When waking up is a nightmare."

I like those words, however, so I'm somewhat conflicted. OK: Maybe if they weren't in just a straight line. Think Hitchcock on the typography.

I agree. I'm fine with the tagline. But it should probably be placed lower on the cover and maybe with a different style font?

And how about an ellipsis at the end? Is that too overplayed? "When waking up is a nightmare..."

Fabulous idea.
Something out of the ordinary. If the bed was there, the tagline could follow the skirt angle

I think you're right, gmw. It needed something. The spatial feng shu wasn't cool. I think I found it. I'll post the new one.

I shifted the tag line and made the title text bigger. The cover isn't lonesome anymore. I'm going to post it.
