IMHO, this would be a good time to add the updated user guide source files to Github and to update the build scripts to automatically add the user guide to the release items.

Even if we have to build the guide manually for now, I agree that this would be a good starting point for a new github repository.

However .... there will probably be a need to specify that there will, by necessity, be a moratorium on style-only pull-requests. Only pull-requests that contain substantive corrections/changes/additions to the guide's content will be considered. And no glomming of stylistic changes on top of substantive changes/corrections/additions. Forget aesthetics for now. No one will ever agree on what's best in that regard anyway.
