I have two ereaders. The smaller one I use for reading in bed and hold it in my left hand (it is old and does not have a touch screen). The other one is bigger and has a cover; when I read at a table I lay it flat; if sitting in an armchair or sofa I hold it in my left hand.

I have a Voyage, brought specifically for the page turn. Turns out I hated it, far to much pressure was needed, and I unbalanced it on my palm.. I either balance the bottom right corner in my right palm and use my thumb to tap the screen for page turning. My wrist is always supported by a cushion. When my palm gets sore from the corner, I lace my fingers behind the kindle, and tap the screen again with my left thumb. I always rest my arms on a cushion as I have MS and not a great deal of strength in my hands or arms. I tried a cover and did not like it.

where did you find the neat looking ebook rests (the wood grained one especially).

I don't know anything about the specific stands pictured above, but if you go on etsy.com and search for ereader stand (or tablet stand) you can find lots of interesting-looking stands in a wide variety of materials and prices.

Looks like you might be better off with a screen larger and 6" due to your large font size.

My left little finger had chronic pain, radiating out to my whole back of my hand. I thought it was some bone fracture.
It took me 2 months to figure out it was just strain holding my reader the way in the picture above.

My vision is shocking even with glasses, My kindle gave me back reading. I had not been able to for years as my MS hit my vision pretty bad.

Anything larger would have to be e ink, tablets cause me eye strain. A must have is light as I read in bed. I also require something light. I have not heard of nothing larger ? If I am missing something please let me know as I would love to check it out.

Many thanks

I worked that out as well, hence I try and rest my hand on the pillow, and switch to fingers laced behind the kindle to give that little finger a break. But I just can not stop it. A bad habit for sure.

thank you

I thought nothing would pry my kindle from my hand, but wow very interesting. I will see where I can get my hands on them here in Australia. I need to hold them and see how they would work for me. The price of the Aura One makes me gasp, but it is very tempting I just have to see.

Thank you so very much, I had kindle blinkers on .

Be careful buying a Rev 1 Kobo Aura One - there are significant hardware quality control issues with the first devices off the production line, especially with the colour of the warmer lighting (green/red splotches, much like the first frontlit Kindle). If you can look at the device you're buying instore, put a hoodie over you & the device and turn the night lighting up to check it before buying, that would be ideal.

You should be able to find an Aura H2O in a JB HiFi. They sold the initial stock of Aura ONE's in about two weeks and don't seem to have replaced them yet. But, they might still have a display model.
