I would want a larger e-ink kindle only if it could be jailbroken. There's no option for that in the poll.

Hmm, that is something to consider... I guess a jailbreak would come eventually, although it may take longer than it takes for coders to update their apps on say the Kobo OS...

At the moment, all the kindles can get out of jail.
So eventually could take over a year or just a couple of months.

That's not what's meant here.

When Amazon failed with a larger screen Kindle, they never made another that was larger than 6". When Sony failed with a front lit Reader, they never made another.

Yes, Both Amazon & Sony have failed at OTHER things, but all it takes is one fail at a Reader feature to have that feature go away and never be tried again even though things have changed enough to make diving into these features again a worth while thing to do.

I don't know about the USB cable you are using, but I've used many different cables with my H2O. Never a problem. I've used my H2O with Win 7, 8.1,& 10. Do you have any other cables you can try?
