On the other hand, the jobs vacancies that Amazon are posting don't make me optimistic about a production display anytime soon.

I agree. My take from the job postings is that they are looking for the senior production people to start setting up the manufacturing.

They're also looking for a new Director of R&D.

I wonder what happened to the old one...

Also, I wouldn't take the openings for process engineers as a sign that something is coming *soon* but rather the opposite. If something were coming this year those positions would've been filled last year.

As is, we're headed into August. Anything coming out this year needs to get to the FCC by the end of the month (90 day process!) and ideally should already be there. Which requires a finalized design and working production samples.

I would take those job openings as a sign that the earliest we'll see anything Liquavista is spring 2017.

Maybe mother's day.

Just a quick note, Amazon is never ever going to be working on a colour Reader. Amazon might someday work on a color Reader. But as for a colour Reader, Amazon will never ever come out with one.
