I put my cloths in the wash. We wash with cold water and then I lay out to dry.

My microfibers came in a glasses cleaning kit. Another came with my screen protector.
Also they can be found at the dollar store.

I worry about scratchy things hiding in those microfiber cloth. Those wipes come in big boxes anyway - you can get a 100 at a time for very little money.

I use canned air to blow debris off of my eReader screen and my eyeglasses before I clean them.

My cloth lives in a small plastic pouch. So I know it's not getting dirty other than from use.

I have problems holding on to those things ...so tiny! I use very soft Clean wash cloth. I spray 1 squirt of 91% Isoproply Alcohol dead center. Once a Week! Yet the Tech claims that how the PW Developed the Bright white Lights! I can see it damaging the Top, But Not how it got under the glass to mess it up!

You do not want to use isoprpoal alcohol at all. It can damage the screen. Use plain water if you need. But the microfiber cloth dry is what you want to try first. If that works, you don't need any water.

That may explain what happened to you. The top layer is plastic, not glass, so could be susceptible to alcohol, especially with weekly applications. The top layer is also what distributes the light evenly across the screen, so if you effected the layer with the alcohol that could result in bright spots on the screen (assuming that's what you're seeing).

You can use a damp cloth but not alcohol.
Note damp means very little water.
Also microfiber cloths range in size from 2 inch squares to 12 inch squares.

Airborne coughs spread more germs than ereaders.
Oh Katie,
Please tell me you never touch the dirtiest substance on earth. Seriously, money has more germs than a microbiology lab.
