Another MobileRead moderator may join us at the meet-up, Bob Russell has indicated his desire to attend along with his wife. If he ia able to make it, it will be a great chance to meet one of the longest standing moderators at MobileRead (second only to Alex, as I remember.) Coupled with Nate's reading device collection, good food, and good spirits it promises to be a great evening.

I will be bringing my new freind. A HP tx2525. 3Gig 260Gig convertable laptop with pen input. I going to try Stanza on it as a reader program, but at 4.1 pounds it is not light reading.

Mark
ps Sorry Zelda, it does not fit in my pocket

Thanks Wood. Yep, am very much hoping to drive in from Pittsburgh to join you folks. It will be a real privilege to meet you all in person. Still have to figure out what to do with the dog, though. Our normal dog babysitter is recovering from major surgery and won't probably be up to it.

My wife has a good friend in the area and we have arranged to stay at her place. They are excited about spending some time together. My wife may also come to the meet up for dinner, but when it comes to the geek stuff, she'll want to flee faster than... <fill in with NatCh's favorite country expression about biscuits and hindsides>!

Now if we can only solve the dog problem.... (and, no, a kennel or bringing the dog with us is out of the question!) Are there any dog lovers in the Pittsburgh area that want a weekend guest who might chew your hand off and whine you to sleep every night?!

My wife and I should be able to swing by for a few mins, we have tickets at the DC Improv that night. We both read on Sony Readers.

I do know and no, there is no wifi at Euro Bistro. I'll see what I have around here and if I can hook something up before that for you.

1 Week to Go!

I posted a notice in the Announcements area, moved the post to the front page, and sent everyone that thought that they might attend a PM about the Meet-up.

We have an area of the restaurant for us and everyone is welcome to join us --either for the evening or just for a quick drink. A splendid time is guaranteed for all.

I have been working with the Marc from Lexcycle, the company who makes Stanza. He mentioned he will be in the DC area this weekend and if he is free he might stop by. Stanza is a Mac Iphone Itouch base book reader that recently broke into the Windows market .

That's great news.

Also, from a PM I received today it seems that Bob Russell will be able to join us along with his wife. It seems that several partners/wives/friends/etc will be joining us this Saturday.

I will see all of you there.
