Oh, I'm great at guilt. I feel guilty when I use a local bookstore as a way to look at books and then buy them (as ebooks or pbooks) online. The exception would be if I look at them at B&N and then buy them from B&N, I suppose, but that doesn't happen very often.

I miss being surrounded by my books. It was a very cozy feeling. But I don't have room in my current house, so at least with ebooks I can still read them.

Ricky, you need a list of where you last put one of your lists!

But when its over, when you have finished the book, do you remember the cover or the content? The cover is there to sell the book. You can see the same color cover displayed as an electronic thumbnail at an ebook store. At Amazon they are the same size as the thumbnails for the pbooks.

The weight of the book. I have had many books that were too heavy to keep comfortably in my hand or lap. With an electronic reader War & Peace has the same mass as Peter Rabbit and neither strains the hand to hold.

Skimming pages was never a big issue for me except on reference books and I don't look to my Reader for reference books.

I love the ability to change the typesize of an ebook. With a too small print pbook you are out of luck or looking for a loop to read them. With an ebook you just select the larger font and start to read.

The smell of pbooks? Other than the "high" of the VOCs in freshly printed books, most of the smell is mold of some sort. I'll stick with the ebook.

I've actually increased the number of books I buy since I got my reader. Note this does not mean I'm reading more, so my unread books are piling up. If I don't read them before I die, they will become orphans. Maybe I should will them to MR. Oh-oh, I don't really own them do I?

Most of the things I miss about pbooks are negative things. The only positive thing I can think of is that pbooks are something I can hold, that take up space and therefore seem more real as property. However these also have a negative aspect as well.

I have the original dustcover of my "Mote in God's Eye" still clinging to life on the book, in spite of it falling apart. With my e-book copy, it will probably never be taken off the shelf again, but it's still there. Silly, I know, but I cling to it becasue it makes the set "complete."

Keep your lists on the Kindle! You can even add notes to them so you can update later on your PC.

Nah .... I love my Kindle, but it's not a great place for lists. My cell phone/PDA, which runs ListPro and Excel is actually much better for those purposes.

I miss nothing at all about p books. Without an e reader for the past 6 months and my reading dropped to almost nothing.
