As for the downgrade, no one has tested, but from what I gathered, nope. It can't hurt to try, though

. It'd be good to check if anything can be recovered from the state you're currently in before that, though. (Again, logs would be neat too, because that's definitely new ^^).

LOL Like I've been had by Amazon! Pristine. Normal PW2 folders, etc. Everything custom is gone.

Well, I'm going to try to downgrade, but I am not hopeful. It's still okay.

I had been restarting still attached and by pushing the button and getting the restart/screensaver screen. After reading not to restart plugged in, I did the reinstalls through MR, and then did a restart through the menu with it unplugged. It restarted really quickly and I thought that was weird. I was right.

Thanks. I need to have that fonts hack. It's pretty much the only thing I use the JB for so I think I will wait for this upgrade to be tamed... I don't think the reading time estimation has been fixed with the upgrade anyways is it just me or that feature doesn't really work well even after running the reset command?

Have logs and they are available - how do I get them to you?

Since this is "new", perhaps I did something wrong. Flying blind is always risky, but I always learn a lot - even if it's what not to do.

Okay, just a quick note before I fall asleep: Don't run the (current version) of the MR Installer on FW 5.6.x. I'll look into it, but basically, it doesn't completely work, and that breaks stuff in a subtle but extensive manner

I'll add, first, some more error checking, and second, try to see if I can make it behave on this FW version...

In fact, if you care about custom stuff, hold off on updating, this will probably be easier to take care of from before the update...
