No, it does not alter the book. It uploads it's own file that includes info like last page read, bookmarks and then there another file for annotations if you make any. You see you have to authorize Moon to use Dropbox and it creates a folder inside your apps folder on Dropbox in side there it keeps all the files and books to sync back and forth.

Syncing takes some getting use to like you can't sideload the book on two devices. For Syncing to work you sideload book on Device 1 then read a few pages then sync which moon then uploads the book and files to go with it. You then you go to Device 2 click on the Dropbox tab inside Moon+ and download the book into Moon and it will now sync on both devices back and forth. Once you get use to the method it's easy to keep them working together.

Moon+ is my favorite but Mantano reads DRM Adobe books like from the library so they both have perks.

I love Moon because you can customize about everything from background image, color, fonts, margins, paragraph spacing, indentation...you name it.
Mantano has collections and is great for organizing books and showing books with more complex layouts. Moon is more for reading novels and Mantano can handle about anything. Why I don't use Mantano more is the font sizes suck for me it's worse than Kindle and the background colors are off and it's hard to get one I like as there is no RGB it's a color wheel. It also doesn't have time Time Left To Read which Moon + has. Mantano also does sync but it costs extra. I do have that but won't be renewing. Moon+ syncs for free.

OK Thanks. Just bought Amazon's version of Moon+. I'm assuming the app doesn't show the difference between the Amazon and Google App. Will have to delete the Google one from my Samsung Tab so I don't confuse them. I bought the Samsung app but really haven't used it yet.

Have a question for you. I bought the Moon+ Pro app from Amazon. Uninstalled my one from Google. Installed the Amazon one and backed it up. Can't find the app on any of my pages. If I go the the 'apps' app Moon+ shows up, but how do I know which one it is, Google or Amazon. Is there an easy way to tell?

No there isn't if you uninstall Google one then one showing would be Amazon. You will know however once you install on KF as Google one will throw an error.

Google Play gets the latest updates fairly quickly. I also do not want that bloated piece of an App called the Amazon app store on any of my tablets but the one I use to backup apks with.

On Device 1 I download the book from Dropbox's app to a folder I named epubs. I then sync to dropbox. On Device 2 I download the book directly from dropbox's Moon+ sync folder. I keep my entire Calibre library on my Dropbox so I can grab any book anytime I want.

So you don't use Calibre Companion?

I think I'm confused. Is your 'ePub folder' in Dropbox? Is your 'Moon+ sync folder' also in Dropbox.

I downloaded a book using Calibre Companion on my KF6 to a folder 'My eBooks'. Opened the book in Moon+ Pro. Went to my Galaxy Tab and opened Moon + Pro on that. From there I opened the book from Dropbox. It does not sync with what I read on my KF6. Obviously I'm doing something wrong

Edited: I think I've figured it out. Re read your earlier post about syncing with moon+ and Dropbox. I set the options to backup the book to the moon+ folder in Dropbox and it seems to be working.

When I click on the book, it flashes something but it is too fast for me to read. Wish there was some way to pause this so could read what it says. ;-)
