Prospects for a Kindle Voyage hack?

There are several threads discussing serial jailbreaking, including a sticky. If you can follow directions very well, you *might* be able to manage it. Maybe take a look and see how comfortable you feel trying the described methods?

You're giving the impression that jailbreaking is for people who want to do funky things with their kindle other than reading, but that isn't correct. All I do on mine is read books*, and I need jailbreak to get the same degree of customizability I used to get with the kindle keyboard.

* in fact, I use it purely as a reader probably more than most people. I don't annotate, I don't do collection or any kind of organization, I don't use the vocab builder, etc.

Not at all. I'm suggesting that it's a good idea to buy a device based on what it's designed to do, rather than on what you hope you'll be able to make it do. The latter road can all too often lead to disappointment.
