Love the Voyage, clarity, compact, page turns.. my screen is a cool, uniform color.. I like the feel of it without a cover so much that I am going naked, but using a sleeve on the move..

I've read and kept up with what is now a 24+ page thread and very few posters in same would take that horrible attitude. I think most like myself who definitely see issues with the Voyage will be happy that others have no issues, at least as far as color variations in the screen go. I for one see a definite shift from brightly lit at bottom with pronounce blue tint to more dimly lit at the top with yellowish or cream tint and shadowy at the top as well. However, when I adjust the light just right I can pretty much get to a point of ignoring the issue, but it is still there to some degree. I will likely keep my Voyage as I think I can make it work for me. And I'm really happy that this issue is not affecting many people like some of the ones here in this thread. From what I'm reading in that other thread, the huge and vast majority of the posters are saying the same thing: We see issues but are happy that others do not. So please don't judge all the posters in that thread by the very small minority of jerks who were being jackasses.
I really did not mean you , nor did I wish for any posts to be deleted. I was just hoping to find a spot for happy people to rejoice, and I fully understand the problems some are facing.

I am just a bit fed up of being called names if I fail to see or not see things, whether those exist or not. My eyesight is not great anyway, but last time I checked, my brain was OK .

I was lucky in my pick, plus I am probably very easy to please.

Edited to say: my husband just ask me to add that he does not think so

I really like the Voyage. The screen is very sharp and I love the page-turn buttons.

I'm still not sure it's worth the $200. But considering I spent $250 on books for my kids last week, $200 for an e-reader isn't bad that bad (I don't usually buy e-books, just borrow e-books from library).

I have no idea if I got deleted earlier, but after a lot of messing with my device I am getting happier, not all the way there, but it is improved from yesterday. The exception is my back PP/PP buttons. I have a lag when comparing to the forward.

LOL I agree on the price and books. I gave up books in favor of the library to fund my Kindle addictions.

Do you think a restart might fix the button problem? It really sounds like one of those kind of problem.

Another question. Is there a lag backward when you tap the screen to go back?

I've done at least 10 restarts since last night, nothing stuck indexing to cause any lag, etc. My screen has gotten a little better with persistence, but I'm on the phone with CS right now. I've given it a good go.

I'm still holding out hope that someone will make something like the old M-Edge Leisure Jacket for this model. That was such a great case.
Have you looked at this: http://waterfi.com/all-products/waterproof-kindle

Though maybe now that the screen is flush, sand is not as big of an issue. I was always worried about sand getting trapped in the area around the screen.

I got my Voyage on Thursday and was warned of the un-uniformed screen from the forums. To be honest, after using it for several days, I can't even actually see the yellowish taint on top 1/3 of the screen anymore unless I focus on it (I have to twist and turn it to make sure it isn't a eye trick).

I have a perfectly good Paperwhite. Why did I have to buy a Voyage?, I don't know but I don't regret it. What I like the most is the more blacky letters (or is it better contrast?). People wanting a 100% perfect white color should stick to real paper then.

I'm noticing the battery on my H2o seems to be lasting significantly longer than the batt of the Voyage. Seems to be anyway. I know I've read more with the Kobo than the V, because I've had it longer. Not that the Voyage is bad battery wise ........ I'm just surprised at how much less the Kobo seems to use. Could be that the screen on the Voyage is set at a brighter light ....... I'll have to check that.

This is my first Kindle, and I'm very happy with it. I wouldn't say it's "perfect", and I'll admit I didn't like the price, but overall I'm happy.

I absolutely love mine - best Kindle ever, and I've owned almost all of them.

Regaring the battery... I wonder if once indexing is over it will get better (to the person that thought the H2o was better)?

There are a number of possible reasons for this. It may simply be that since the H2O is physically larger than the Voyage, Kobo was able to stuff a larger battery inside.
