Uploaded version 1.205 which includes all the changes from this weeks main release and fixes for a couple of beta specific issues reported in this thread (editor crashing when moving preview panel and inability to clear yes/no columns in the book list).
http://download.calibre-ebook.com/betas/ I am hoping this will be the last beta release before calibre 2.0 since no major issues have come to light. |

Clicking in the preview scroll bar is working now. I will try to figure out what exact set of conditions causes it, but will probably take a while and it is not a showstopper at all.
Looking forward to this week's update. Changing case is very useful! |

Just a heads up for people running from source. I have now merged the qt5 branch into master. This means that if you want to run from source, you have to use the beta version of calibre.

That also means that development and pull requests are now against the QT5 source as well? I think so, but it is worth checking.

Been running the beta for a while, without any issues.
Except perhaps having to adjust the line spacing slightly in the main view, but after that, no problems at all. |

How do I prevent going to sleep with processes active?
Hi I am running 8.1. I started a big delete of the database ( I have 25000 books in it.) I am sure there was a better way than just selecting all and removing books. Well anyway I did it and it started. I went to bed as it processed it. Well when I came back to it in the morning it had stopped processing!!! It was onlly halfway through. Windows had gone to sleep even though there was work to be done. Calibre was the only user programme running. I am using Calibre 2 ( beta) just downloaded for this application. As soon as I moved the mouse it started up and continued processing.
A search on the net revealed the following ""Actually, the "secret handshake" is publicly documented and a very easy-to-use API. It's probably best to lay the blame at a vendor's feet for not keeping a machine awake when it's doing something it thinks is of utmost importance, rather than blaming Microsoft's environment that has been this way since 2000 (at least). Also, other power state options are also well documented, so applications that "must" keep the system awake (and don't) are to blame in this case. "" Does your programme keep Windows awake for long processing jobs? ![]() regards Alan |
