I've read Duty to the Dead, which is the first book in the Bess Crawford mystery series; Bess is a WWI nurse. I liked it enough to continue reading the series.

Yes, they've got one in the works that they will be selling. They're going to have to try to learn how to use the website themselves, if possible, before they can they start writing it though.

Actually, their website is not that bad to navigate. What threw me for a loop was the fact that they changed things on us and didn't tell us how to do stuff that we could do before.

If any of you are interested in the HarperCollins 1,872 ebook sale, I would like to give you a heads up on an item or two. I had an opportunity for the first time, this evening, to really take a look of the selection.

First, I checked probably about 10 of the books listed. As I think that I mentioned in a previous post about this sale, the books are available from HarperCollins (you have to use their proprietary reader app called HC Reader, oddly enough(ha), if you purchase from them) and also other retailers. On a page for one book that I checked there were listed about 20 retailers.

Among the retailers where you can get most, if not all, of HarperCollins' sale books is Amazon. Not only are they available at other retailers, but if Amazon's prices are any indication, the (sale) prices at the other retailers are the same as the prices at HarperCollins' site. This held true for the 10 or so books that I checked.

I may have more information to post after I have shopped the HarperCollins website some more.

If you are a big ol' ditz like myself and completely forgot about getting your free book when this was first available, you can still claim one from a new set of available titles:

Not interested in a single one of them, alas.
