Ha, I have the Complete Calvin and Hobbes in a slip cover like that, MeSue. I love it. It is bulky (3 biiiiig hardcovers), but wonderful to read. I usually read that at the dining room table. So I've managed to adapt to this mmpb, and it's not so bad now, as others suggested may happen. I read a hardcover just before this, and I think hardcovers may actually be easier to read despite the heavier weight, because the pages are brighter, and the font is larger. |

I thought the Paperback woes refer to the downside of having to buy a paperback instead of a hardback. I have a lot of paperbacks and wished to have brought more hardbacks (looks great when stacked in the cabinet, and more durable in the long run). I love ereaders, but I seem to be the kind of person who would choose anything as long as I continue to read books. So. Best of both worlds for me I guess. |

For me it's eyes more than joints, but I do understand. (I have some hip issues, but they don't get in the way of reading).

I read fiction on my Kindle, and non-fiction in HB or paper. I frequently have to stop myself from tapping the paper page to highlight a word and find out what it means! Also, physically turning pages seems so passe

I thought it meant: The 3rd book in a trilogy I was collecting never came out in Paperback (a BPH issue). 10years later, the author did release it as EPUB |
