In general I prefer my Aura HD to either my Aura or my Glo, but there's one way in which the smaller-screen units win out:

I wear bifocals. When I'm reading on the Aura HD, I find I have to tip my head up and down a bit with each page to keep the text in focus -- not bothersome when sitting, but quite noticeable when laying in bed with my head propped up by a pillow. With my Aura and Glo (and, of course, my Mini), I don't have to move my head at all: the entire vertical height of the screen fits in the lower reading part of my bifocals.

I have an Aura, which is pretty awesome, but I feel that it's a victim of its own design success -- it's so compact that it feels too small (first world problems here). So much so that I'm definitely going to get the next model Aura HD, whenever it comes out (when?).

I hope you'll like your new addition very much.
If it ever gets here....2 day priority mail doesn't mean anything when it's going through the black hole sorting center in Bell, California. Maybe sometime next week. I hope.

I think it will be here today....going up to the post office to see if I can catch my carrier before he leaves.

I banged on the door and made him look til he found it (he didn't mind) and it is now in my possession! Set up on a throw away account (so I don't have to deal with syncing) now to find time to add books and stuff.

I have to say, after a week and a couple days of using the Aura HD....Perfection. If I could only have one device, the Aura HD is the winner. If I break it today, I would immediately order one at full price. It is worth it.

Don't you feel that advantages of the Aura HD are the low points of the Aura and vice versa?
Anyway, I'm glad to see that you have another ereader to your liking. This is what matters the most after all

I've never seen an Aura, so can't really compare. But that screen is such a pleasure to read on. I had been convinced that my Nexus 7.2 tablet was the best for reading. But this one, my eyes like it better. And the form factor is better, with the 4:3 ratio.

I've played with an Aura in my local Chapters. Nice enough e-reader, but to be honest were I to go with a 6" I'd go with a Glo. There's nothing the Aura offers that would make me want to spend the $30 extra.

But my Aura HD... it's perfect for me. Absolutely love the reader. Although I will complain that Unblockit is crack & completely evil, but that's another issue entirely.

After 2 months with the Aura HD, I like it very much that I put my beloved old 650 away in the closet for good. The Aura HD (beside the weight factor) is perfect for me.

I totally agree with this. I LOVE my HD, and I really, really like my Aura (pink) but my HD is perfection.
