A couple of weeks, if reading. 1-2 days if listening to the unabridged audiobook and its a good book. My Mom, on the other hand, takes a month to read a book, until the snow flies and then she can breeze through 12-18 books in 3 weeks.

Perhaps there are people out there who can get full enjoyment out of a novel when using the techniques, or perhaps there are other speed reading systems that are intended for pleasure reading, but that doesn't appear to be the norm.
Before ebooks I've always read faster than I wanted to. I took a voluntary (something to do when you had nothing else you had to do) course in elementary school, which was more comprehension based than speed based but mostly it is just the way I am. I've had to retest on two different exams because my score was too high.

My big problem with reading too fast was running out of books. I think I enjoy them as much as most or I wouldn't be reading. I often enjoy a book so much that I get an endorphin high. Just last night in fact.

Forcing yourself to read faster for pleasure reading seems silly and why bother. Trying to force yourself to read slower is just as bad from an enjoyment viewpoint IMO.

I tend to read quite fast, although it depends on what I'm reading, because some books I read more carefully than others. But for a regular novel of 350 pages I probably wouldn't need more than 4-5 hours.

It really depends on the book.

Some pages just fly off the thumb, while others are altogether more... turgid. E.g. I'm about 15% of the way into Capital, Volume 1, and greatly doubt that percentage will ever rise much higher!
