Reference books such as video game guides are better off in paper then electronic (IMHO).

Bought 8 books from Abebooks via their buy 4 get one free sale a few weeks back.

As well, last Saturday, I came home with 34 books, 3 paperback the rest hard cover from the local animal shelter's annual 2 day yard sale. The last day of the two day sale, all books were free.

I still prefer the physical book to the electronic one. 8c)

I bought some reference books for a Bible study I am attending a couple of months ago. Usually for reference book and cook books I always buy the paper book. Just to read--I get the e-book. And if I really, really like it I will buy the paper book to have at home.

My latest purchase occurred on May 4th (May the Fourth be with you) The Courtship of Princess Leia. I bought it to support the author whose son was suffered a tragic longboarding accident.

Today, in fact! I bought the new Stephen King book, which of course is not available on e-book.

I just ordered a catalogue from Amazon, of Sargent's watercolours from the show currently on in New York. I only buy references and art books in paper, anymore - I prefer prose as ebooks. However, it's frustrating when I'm enjoying a series, and for some reason, books in the middle are not available in ebook format - it has happened several times.

I bought _A Memory of Light_ in January of this year. I have all the Wheel of Time books in hardback and they're delayed in ebook anyway.

I have bought three in as many months.

1984 - Orwell (felt like I needed to have this as a paperback)
Walking Dead Compendium 1
The Prone Gunman - Jean Patrick-Machette

Bought a used paperback from Amazon marketplace about a month ago. I was going on vacation and was worried my Kindle might die in flight. It didn't.

I read the book anyway, and I've gotta say....even though I read paper books for about 40 years, it drove me crazy to go back. I found it awkward and uncomfortable compared to the Kindle.

I was planning to buy the new King book, but now I might just wait and see if he changes his mind in a year or so.

Not yet because the form won't make me read it sooner nor later than any other book. I'm considering keeping it to bring to the beach, not sure if I'll go this year, because there's no way for me to have an ereader there with all that sand, sunscreen and water around
