Yes, I do. Not usually to dismissing it altogether, unless it's really unprofessional or super-cheesy (though 2 is really a subset of 1).
But I also enjoy chocolate muffins. |

Exceptional artwork is something I always take notice of (regardless of where it appears), but artwork—exceptional or terrible—has absolutely zero impact on my decision to buy/read an author's words.
