Lately I've been feeling that all names need to change when they are bought. Like "Google YouTube" or "Amazon Shelfari". Let the name show who owns it.

I can now officially say, unless something bizarre happens in the next few hours, all of my Goodreads "priority peeps" books have been rescued.

Official word from GR is to give it a week for the covers from Ingram etc. to import before replacing the missing ones. I'm sure you all are not happy looking at a bunch of naked books, but it's only temporary. We'll get to it.

I can't speak for the other librarians, but I personally will also be waiting until then to enter other missing data (page counts, etc) because I don't really care to edit the same book more than once if I can avoid it, plus there's been something stated about some of that additional info possibly being imported as well. So if you're one of my priority peeps, don't freak out if a bunch of your books are showing nothing but title and author tomorrow morning. You are still on my list.

Many thanks for all the Karma you guys have been giving me. It helps motivate me. You're actually helping me and Goodreads by friending me for all this book-fixin' - I'd be doing a lot of it anyway, and it's so much more rewarding when I'm helping people I know and like from MR in the process.

i tried shelfari out before. it just couldn't hook me in the way Goodreads did
