I'm using Paint.net. I wasn't satisfied with their font tool so I've been using some anti aliasing techniques that I picked up from my study at Wikipedia. It seems to me that good font is the hallmark of professional graphic design.

I think Poser can be used for some pretty credible bodies--if you process in Photoshop correctly, not the 'raw' output
