I had constant freezing problems after the recent update until I put "Wi-Fi sleep policy" to "never" in the settings. Haven't had a crash since.

Can you tell me where to find the "Wi-Fi sleep policy"? I've been through all the settings (or so I thought) and don't see it. In my Wi-Fi settings I only see
Wi-Fi check box (on), Network notification check box (on), Wi-Fi networks (network I'm connected to) Add Wi-Fi network. |

You're in the right spot... "wi-fi settings" page , tap menu on the bottom of your vox, an "advanced" option will popup, it's in there.

I don't have any menu pop up when I push that button (the 4-line menu button right?). I've powered off and on to see if something went haywire. I wonder if that is related to my problems?

Ever since I did the update, I can't put my vox to sleep, it freezes everytime and I need to do a reset to get it back. Doing the 10-15 seconds wake-up trick doesn't work for me.

I'm hoping this little fix works for me. Just today my perfect Vox started not waking up from sleep mode! Seems like it might be a glitch in the new update? I haven't changed ANYTHING on my Vox since the update.

Well, it seems OK coming out of sleep as long as airplane mode isn't on.
I see now, however, that it says the battery is "charging" although the Vox has not been plugged into the charger since early this morning. I should probably charge it, though, it's at 20%. That wifi is the main user of the battery. It would be nice to be able to turn off the wifi and have it behave coming out of sleep mode. I'll try that next...that is, manually turn off the wifi using going through settings. |

I tried the disable wifi sleep mode trick and it appears to work great when wifi is enabled. Trying airplane mode to see what happens.
EDIT: Ok tried airplane mode with wifi power manadement disabled. It failed to wake from sleep. Checking now to see if i have to reboot after enabling wifi before it recovers from sleep correctly. I believe the problem might be permissions on power management with regards to sleep. Some files may have been given incorrect acess permissions to or by the os. Heres me crossing my fingers testing.
