My main complaint is not being able to delete a book from the T1 as I can on the 300...or possibly I do not know how.
I could single click/right click/delete the book from my 300 and it was gone. I can not do this on the T1 and I do not like that at all. In fact it may be a deal killer. I do not like to carry my entire library on the reader. Just too many books for me. I prefer to have 6-10 at the most and delete them after reading them.

If anyone can advise me on how to delete a book from the T1 I'd be grateful.
I also have the latest version of Calibre and it does not "see" the T1. Is this because Calibre is not yet T1 ready or, again, am I doing something wrong? Calibre "sees" my 300 just fine.

I'll be using the T1 tonight, 11-7 shift this week so a lot of reading time...fingers crossed hehehe...
You need the beta version of Calibre. See this thread for a discussion. Download, run the wizard, and choose 'Generic Eink Device'.

Tap and hold in the library view to delete, or hit 'menu' for the delete option to delete multiple books.

Don't use the Sony Library software. Just don't.

Thanks graycyn. You were spot on. I removed the books I wanted to remove. I also read the manual which said the same thing.
Thanks for the assist.

I had the time to read for over 2 hours at work last night. I am liking the T1 quite a bit.

For those that say you can't delete books in collections, you realize there is "protect" option for books on the T1?

Maybe when you use Sony's software it sets this "protect" flag. Try going into the books view, and if there is a "lock" icon, press and hold on the book and choose unprotect.

Sorry if this has been asked elsewhere (I looked) but: can someone confirm (by testing it) that T1 will NOT open ePubs from B&N?

It will not. (Although with just a username and password protecting the things, it is an inconvenience)

That is unfortunate, and a continuing source of mystery for me. Can't see any advantage to Sony or its customers.

Not by doing anything on the PRST1 itself. But if you change margins and/or line-height in the css inside your epubs -- either manually, or by using Sigil, or by using Calibre to convert epub-to-epub -- your Sony will respect any changes you make.

[Edit:] Your epub needs to be non-DRM to do any of the above

Thanks jackie sounds good, not perfect, but at least, you can do something.

You can decrease margins by using the crop mode on the T1. Auto crop will eliminate margins. There is a manual crop were you can define the crop box. It is sort of like a zoom-crop capturing an image because text becomes enlarged after cropping and is not the same size before and after. Not as clean as other ereaders that have margin settings in the text options. Still a neat option though.

@bookworm_girl,

Thanks for that info. I had thought that the Crop feature was for use with PDFs only (it didn't work very well on the PDF I tried).

Does this mean that it would also work with DRM epubs? I don't have any to try it myself.

Yes, the custom crop works with DRM'ed EPUB's. That's good news because Overdrive library books often have really large margins. I am using it on the library EPUB that I am currently reading. And, it stays locked if you exit and then re-enter the book.

Thanks. Good to know if I ever get the Wi-Fi working with one of the UK libraries.

That was my question

"3. Can you charge the device with an USB cable not attached to a computer?"

Many people misunderstood this. I asked about USB cable charging, it is obvious that a dedicated charger can charge it.

You mean using the USB cable and plug it in an USB port for charging. Say, like those USB ports in the cars now and maybe in the iPod/iPhone USB adapter... hummm have not tried that...
