Wow Chi Cygni: beautifully applied and the burl looks AWESOME! I have DecalGirl's MATTE "LIBRARY" skin on my Kindle3. I think matte is better than glossy for glare; I love it I think it does make holding the back of the Kindle3 easier and, as a messy-droppy kind of person ... it helps. And as far as endurance: I have had to have Amazon replace my Kindle twice which means that I had to REMOVE the skin TWICE to replace it on two new kindles, and aside from a teeny fold because it pulled a little and needing to snip the edges of one of the long pieces on one of the forward side buttons as it lost a leetle glue, it pulled OFF beautifully AND reinstalled TWICE beautifully. Absolutely a quality product!

Thanks allison! Burlwood in real life looks even nicer. Library is also very pretty but I realised I cannot have anything too colorful or busy while I read because I find it very distracting.

It is a bit stressful for me to apply decal skin, especially a challenge with all those Kindle buttons and once I get bored with a skin I peel it off to never use it again , kind of like wallpaper on a desktop, I get bored with them and never go back to them again once they are off.

Facebook is the way I stay in touch with my family back in St Louis. I really like how the authors have their own pages and you can interact with them. I now use it more for news feed and publishers, book store deals and what my favorite authors are up to.

I will never buy through Decalgirl again. I was sent a defective Skin but I have to 1. take a pic of the skin 2. Pay $3.50 for it and 3. Call them and give my credit card over a phone.

It was their mistake not mine! The bottom of the skin was cut at a wrong angle making the buttons on the right side of the kindle not fit correctly.

I paid through Amazon payments do you think I can email them and see if they can do something?

Yes - contact Amazon - they will mediate your dispute - and can refund your purchase price regardless of what decagirl says or wants! Just tell Amazon you're NOT a happy Amazon customer!

Thanks I just read up on dispute claim form. It's a little confusing but I may have to go that route. It's my first time using Amazon payments but I have always had good service using their regular site.

I use a prepaid card so there no way I can call them and have them dispute the charges.

When I contacted them, they wanted me to pay all the return shipping costs, which they would refund AFTER they received & inspected the book - to make sure I was telling the truth I guess. I shot off a heated email to Amazon CS - which promptly refunded the full purchase price - and advised me I "should" return the book, but left it totally up to me. I still have the book, because the seller never responded to my request for a pre-paid RMA label to return it.

Amazon is great!

It wasn't through the marketplace. It was through Decalgirl's site using Amazon payment checkout. So I'm not sure if I can contact Amazon and have to go through a dispute process with Amazon Payments. I guess I can email them and ask if they don't get back to me on paying through paypal.

Edit: Sent Amazon Payments an email. I don't know what else to do.

Update: They got back with me and told to try to talk it out with the seller. The seller has agreed to accept the money via PayPal for the replacement skin. So hopefully the new one will work if not I am out $23.50

Thanks! I will. I am going to let my hubby install this one. I know the other one was defective I originally though it was at the bottom but after putting the skin back on the template it comes stuck too, I can see it's at the top where it's defective.

I will closely examine the new one before removing it from the backing.

I love the skins, I cannot wait until I am confident this Touch won't fail on me so I can put on it's skin. As others have said, it adds personality and makes your device unique. I have them for my kindle 2, galaxy tab and both my creative mp3 players.

As long as they fit I don't mind them. It's when I have to pay extra for someone elses mistake and they word it like it's my fault I get frustrated. Why can't all support be like Amazon's? *sigh*
