Hi everyone,

First, the % read status of the book is in the last test build I got from the team. We are going to see if it's ready for prime time and release it in the next upgrade Coming Soon™

Second,
You can purchase the Kobo Touch online at Bestbuy.com, and in *some* Best-Buy stores. It's not a huge list right now but we're working with the good folks at Best-Buy to grow it. I will see if I can get specifics on which stores.

We are also working on getting the product into more retailing centers nation-wide.

Imagine being treated like that all the time.

If the rest of the world ever grows up and has an economy like ours then you too can know how nice it is.

Oh yes. We all want an AA+ rating like you guys (we still have AAA). And we will see how long the US needs to get the AAA back, if ever (it took Canada nine years, but they are back in the game).
Sorry, but if there was a day to boast about the US economy, I am not sure that today was it...(or were you ironical, Jack?).

I wish we could get the kobo touch at all in Germany (where the economy is not that bad... or so I have heard )

I'm sorry, you were saying?

Edit: Guess I didn't have to post that after all.

More "slowly but surely" ... Kobo WiFi and Kobo Touch can now be found in The Source stores in Canada. See: http://www.thesource.ca/estore/Searc...kobo&pagenum=0 The Source has about 700 outlets across Canada; in a local outlet they were playing a five minute clip on the TVs advertising the devices. (The Source recently added Kindles; it's the only retail Kindle outlet in Canada.)

This link: http://www.kobobooks.com/ereader_wheretobuy highlights the growing numbers of locations; still no word about Germany and Spain retail locations but those apparently are in the immediate works with UK coming this fall according to an interview with one of the Kobo European staff.

Our bad, that is what happens when we stupidly bail out all of you other countries every time the Boogie Man comes a calling. I suspect in the near future you guys will all be on your own for a long while. either that are perhaps we should actually start charging for our help.

BTW, most of Europe is as heavily in debt as we are so good luck with that...

Can we try not to turn this into a "the US sucks"--"no, you're just jealous!"-thread? There's a whole sub-forum on here were you can discuss politics as much as you want, but let's not hijack the Kobo forum with it. Thanks.
