Kindle now available in Canada

EDIT: Nvm, just double checked and the Canadian publishers include tax in the Amazon prices. Still, there are quite a few books that I cannot get in epub here in Canada that I can get from Amazon. If they come out with an eink touch screen ereader I'll probably get it.

Thanks for your replies re 3G usage in Canada. I have two more questions, regarding the 3G model again, and that is shipping charges from Amazon. Did anyone buy the 3G model from Amazon.com and how much were the shipping charges. I know it's $189 there and $229 here, do the shipping charges equal $40? And the other question is in regards to the wall charger. Some earlier posts in this thread said it didn't come with the Kindle when it was shipped. Has this changed or do you still have to buy the charger separately? Their site indicates that to Canada, the charger is included.

Hi Ellie,

I got a 3G for my birthday this past May that my mom ordered from Amazon.com. I think the shipping charges were around $30-40 to ship to Ontario. It only came with the USB cable. (No charger.) I already have a basic USB wall charger that I use for my iPod and it works for my Kindle just fine. I never knew Amazon was supposed to ship me one!
