Development Ermine experiences

I installed ermine and it runs great for me...just 2 things, however. Now when I try to download the books I had on my EE before, it just says, "activating Digital Rights Management" and the little wheel thing keeps turning. It has been doing that for hours now. I also have tried to download the fix that came in this morning via email and it says "download unsuccessful", in fact, it says that when I try to download anything. Anyone have any ideas how to solve that?

Boris, I just thought I'd let you know so far any app that did not work right resolved with a clear data from manage applications. So far I think the beta is worth it, but I sure hope they don't let us down with a final release.

Another thing I'm seeing a few posts about is the hibernate/resume issue...

ok, Cheyenne convinced me. I want Evernote and a camera, I want faster, I want to run apps that need 2.2, and she seems to have resolved the major issue keeping me from trying it so..... Saturday, I am trying the Update on my PE.

Will update you whether I have a great unit or a brick afterward...

No way it would update. I have tried a few times, it stoppes after 2 , 3 % or 2187465910% (LOL) . It says an error has occured when updating. My wi-fi network is fine. At least on my smartphone.

Another thing I'm seeing a few posts about is the hibernate/resume issue...

I can say that I left my Edge powered on the whole day (24 hours since update) and "resumed it a lot of times (at least 20) without any issue. I had to remove the battery once because I freezed the e-ink side trying to annotate a huge pdf file.

Strange we don't experience the same issues with the same hardware ...

This right here is my biggest complaint about Ermine. So far it's not a big enough issue for me to revert, but I do hope that it gets fixed ASAP.

Good idea, yes thing seem faster, much more responsive, until the device goes to sleep. Then I found it's a ***** to re-open and took up to 15 minutes last night. At first I was like "I broke it" but given time it came back awake.

Very excited, my battery life issue seems to be ok now.

I found ebuddy no longer worked. Only good for the older version, I installed meebo instead.

Anyone figure out how to get android marketplace on there yet? (I have used the emulator previously)

My company had app built for me and it worked woo hooooo....................

The Dev tools do not seem to work at all, nothing happens when clicked on. Loved the report the WTF oh it brought me great joy to see that button.

I am also not having any issue with wake from hibernation, at least after short sleep times. However, SketchBook Mobile, which works for fgruber, force closes each time for me. Bummer, I bought it twice too, once for my phone and once for the edge.

I tried in the big edge and although it runs the delay is so large it is useless

Well at least it was only 99 cents.

For those of you with the freezing after hibernation issue - I had a thought. Did you/are you closing the edge with the screen locked? I remember seeing something once to the effect of don't make the edge sleep or try to turn off while the screen is locked.

How is the ereader on Ermine. Faster? Do the drop down menus work better/smoother? Has the mapping/zooming issue been resolved?

I had this thought as well. But the two times I had to yank the battery, the first was with screen lock, and the second was without. It seems to be time related-the two times it didn't freeze it was only hibernating for a short time (less than a couple minutes).
