Here's my final list of books purchased with the coupon:
I decided to pass on the Secure eReader books from Rosetta--don't want to give FW by credit card number to unlock and convert, so I'll get them at Kobo or elsewhere later. |

I was thinking of the Parnell Hall series -- Murder, Favor, Strangler, Client -- but they are $10 (less 60% is $4) ... but these are also the only titles not (yet) transferred to Amazon Kindle ... and there they are $3 (Detective, Scam, etc). Sorry, but no sale.
You might try the Noir Masters series -- 24 titles, some collections, some novels, some short stories -- which can be found typing that into "key words". At 60% off, these are cheaper than elsewhere. Aaron Elkins' Gideon Oliver series? They are $10 at Fictionwise, $4 at Amazon ... so, another no sale. If you are so inclined, it IS a great time to stock up on back issues of Alfred Hitchcock or Ellery Queen magazines. Richard Stevenson's gay PI, Donald Stratchey, now in 11 novels, is a bargain -- the Fictionwise and Amazon prices are similarly priced but FW is now 60% off. And all four of Denver lawyer Kenneth Levinson's tales of Denver lawyer Adam Larsen can be had for 60% off ... which is far below Amazon's price. For all that, fairly slim pickings ... |

FW coupons do not work on Samhain titles.
The Parnell Hall titles at FW are published by E-Reads. The $2.99 ones are Hall's self-published backlog, which is why they are cheaper. Kobo doesn't have his backlog either ( at least on the US side). Great news, Blossom. Looks like a good list, Catlady. I ended up with: 3.40 - 1 Dangerous Visions [MultiFormat] by Harlan Ellison 3.40 - 1 Again, Dangerous Visions [MultiFormat] by Harlan Ellison 3.40 - 1 Dangerous Games [MultiFormat] by Michael Prescott 3.40 - 1 Next Victim [MultiFormat] by Michael Prescott 3.40 - 1 In Dark Places [MultiFormat] by Michael Prescott 4.76 - 1 Rough Cider [Secure eReader] by Peter Lovesey 3.40 - 1 The Other End [MultiFormat] by John Shirley 8.50 - 1 Devil-Devil: Introducing the Sergeant Kella and Sister Conchita Series Set in the Solomon Islands [Secure eReader] by Graeme Kent ----- 33.66 - Total Unfortunately most on my wishlist are Soho titles still in the $12-$20 range, so I only splurged on the one. ![]() |

This was my first order from Fictionwise. I'd created an account way back but hadn't browsed enough to make a selection. The 60% off was quite an incentive to do some searching. Here's what I ordered:
1.98 - 1 The Album [MultiFormat] by Sandra White 0.20 - 1 Smoke and Mirrors [MultiFormat] by Eugen M. Bacon 2.20 - 1 Come Into the Light [MultiFormat] by Janet Lane Walters 2.80 - 1 Approaching Oblivion [MultiFormat] by Harlan Ellison 2.40 - 1 Wake of the Whale: A Tale of the Pacific Coast [MultiFormat] by Larry L. Bailey 0.28 - 1 To Serve Man [MultiFormat] by Damon Knight 3.98 - 1 Stories of Your Life and Others [MultiFormat] by Ted Chiang ----- 13.84 - Total I'm looking forward to reading these. |

Well, finally made my purchase. The coupon is still active, by the way, and FW usually doesn't expire these days until 2-3 days after the official date. Plus they let you use them multiple times.
A very different set of titles than I'd intended to get at first. But I've decided to wait to see if more of the e-Reads catalogue pricedrops in future months and just stocked up on the stuff that had already, the stuff from other publishers I really wanted that wasn't likely to change, and some sf/fantasy/mystery magazine back issues that are likely to disappear. I might pick up some more stuff tomorrow. Maybe some F&SF magazine back issues; sample and get some of the non list-pricedropped-elsewhere e-Reads titles from my wishlist, see what new things the sf/fantasy/mystery MultiFormat imprints have added since I last checked. List under spoilers since it's long and kind of boring due to all the mag back issues. Spoiler:

I use it again today too a couple times. I am now broke.
![]() Here's is the full list of all my purchases. Spoiler:
I told hubby I don't need to eat. ![]() Most are Harlequins & Love Inspired Suspense that I had on my wishlist at Amazon that Kobo didn't have a good copy off. I think I found a new source for getting older HQ titles when the coupon is good enough of course ![]() |

There are some Steve Fisher and Lionel White stories right here in the MR library, too. Not all epub, though, so you'd have to convert. I may also need to use that Fictionwise coupon again ... |
