They make it seem like people that still read pBooks are less intelligent than those that don't.

I don't know, I just get a bad taste from watching those.
I think Amazon's losing it's touch a bit with their Kindle commericials. They seem to attackish. I hate the guy and girl by the pool one. Though she is very pretty the commericial is rather annoying.

their best commericials were the simple, artsy still animation, and very catchy, "Fly me away" song ones.

Can't really go wrong as long as people are talking about it. You don't have to like a commercial in order for it to be memorable (and thus "good" in the eye of the producer).

The Kindle commercials simply don't address the real issues:

if it slips out of my hands and drops down on the pavement, can I still read the book afterwards?

or

if I take it down on the beach and it gets covered by sand, drops of saltwater and sun lotion, can I still read the book?

or

can I whack the groper on the train with the Kindle and enjoy the book afterwards?

Seriously, do people wonder if they can mark a page by folding it down? Why not point out real advantanges over a book, e.g., that you can always have a large selection of books with you?
