I was Best Buy today. My local store no longer sells Sony ereaders. They removed it from their display and have added the Kobo and Pandigital however. Their ereader section was much larger than my previous visit. However, sadly no more Sony's. Oddly my local Borders (which just closed) didn't carry Sony's either.

Congrats! I just knew that that you couldn't resist the temptation of the 650 and would eventually go for it! Hope you love it as much as your 350.

Just as an FYI, sonystyle has started getting 650's back in stock.

It's really a subjective choice; I know a lot of people like their Kindles, & that's fine, but I just prefer the look & feel, and openness of the Reader.
( I know, it is so strange that the company known for screwing people over DRM in CD's and Playstations is one of the more open platforms in e-readers. Even EFF says so. )

Only available in black so far, but they are shipping them. Mine's scheduled for delivery Wednesday.

I picked up a 350 on sale a couple of weeks ago, and there is a noticeable difference in contrast, crispness and page-turn speed from the 600.
(and I think they did a really nice looking job on the new covers.)

I didn't buy it on purpose. It just struck me when I checked the SonyStyle website to update their availability. Hit the button without thinking twice, just out of a sudden feeling of angst I would miss buying one and then they'd be gone for ever. Actually it was over my budget for March, but what am I to say. I was greedy and had to pay the price (read: had to eat rice )

I like it. But I don't love it as much as my 350. Which was a big surprise for me. I almost never read when I sit, only during my daily commute. At home I am either lying on the couch or in bed. The 650 is harder for me to hold in one hand. Haven't found the right angle to do so and this is why I love the 350 more. I will use the 650 for on-the-go and the 350 at home. Or I will store the 650 as a spare. Am not sure yet.

Don't worry, you may have saved civilisation as we know it - apparently impulse buys are responsible for 21% of the global economy.

Which in these days of dark and gloom, is a not inconsiderable lump of dosh..........

The 350 is so light and small, that it's easily used with just one hand. I hold mine in my left hand and rest my thumb on the buttons to turn the pages. If I'm using both hands, I use the touch screen for page turns.

I can do my Kindle with one hand, but it's quite awkward; so I end up using both hands.

a seller has placed over a dozen open box 350s up on the Bay. Starting price is $99. I got mine for $114 yesterday morning, but one just closed for $99. Shipping is included. I got shipping confirmation on Saturday. The Seller is on the East Coast.
