I'm a big fan of the classics myself, spaze, but most people buy ebook readers for commercial ebooks.

A classical book? OMG!!! The poor person! And this I guess without the slightest warning. Man is mean, I tell ya!

I saw what must have been a 650 on the airplane yesterday and looked on in envy with the touchscreen (I have a Nook e-ink). I can't tell you how many times I've wanted to be able to touch a word on the screen and have a definition. The touchscreen at the bottom of the Nook is hard to navigate with. Plus people that pick it up and try to use it intuitively start touching the e-ink part and get confused when it doesn't work.

I was surprised today when I was researching the 650 to see that wi-fi wasn't available. The one thing that hasn't been mentioned so far in this thread as far as wi-fi goes is the ability to download things on-the-fly from Calibre, which I would miss from my Nook. I have Calibre set up to pull down recipes from news sites and like being able to pull them onto my nook without being tethered.

Plus, the web browser on a 650 would actually be usable compared to the Nook (which is worthless). I wouldn't use the web browser MUCH, but being able to pull down a Wikipedia article here and there would be nice when something strikes my interest...

But yeah, 99% of my use of the device wouldn't be hindered too much by being tethered when I want to add content...

Buy a 950 then, they do have wifi. 7" display doesn't hurt either.

Unpacked my PRS-650 yesterday. I love it, I already finished reading my first book - PRS- 650 User guide

I like to do some research on book, before purchasing, fix all metadata, put in calibre library, so wifi was not required.

I love touch screen -> skim through the pages quickly, dictionary...

Glad you love it!! These are great little machines. Enjoy it. As for books make sure you check out the Deals & Freebies section and the Patricia Clark Memorial Library here on the forums. You might also want to become a member of the Singapore Library which is for free!
