I doubt it. I blame it on the oil. Everything is expensive in Norway. In Sweden a paperback book is maybe $8-12$. Buying an English paperback is usually more expensive.

From a Nordic perspective the complaints from US people about book prices seems kind of absurd...

I just got an email from Amazon saying they have a fixed version of a totally borked ebook I bought (well, it was a free giveaway, bought at $0.00, so I wasn't too worried about it). I had to opt in to the update, but they did ask if I wanted it which is better than me asking THEM if they have it periodically.
