I thought my English Springer Spaniel was fairly calm. The dog I had prior was an Irish Setter.

Like all cheerleaders they are great fun to watch but a handful to keep :P Our neighbour has one and when I need a dog fix I just go see her, shes a lovely dog, as long as shes in their yard And why does everyone call their Irish Setters Brandy? I don't get it, the colour maybe looks like brandy...but thats a stretch
