You ever have a kid get one of those Tamoguchi or whatever they were called pets? My kids would lose interest after the first hour and then I'd spend months feeding and caring for electronic pets because I couldn't bear to see them run away.

Ahahaha. I was a little kid when Gigapets were big. My mom fed mine for me while I was at school, because I would get sooo upset when they died. It's amazing the attachment a kid can get for a 10 x 10 pixel blob.

I like the bunnies.

I love my K2, and I bet I would like the K3 even better. But if your K3 doesn't please you, by all means return it; Amazon is very good about that. The Nook handles library books, or you could wait for something better. There are new readers coming out every year.

Heh! But puppies are easier to round up if they escape.

(Got my niece an ant farm for her birthday a few years ago - she's fascinated by bugs of all kinds. After a few days, though, the ants managed to escape and ran all over her bed, resulting in a midnight ant hunt before she would go back to bed. My sister suggested that future presents probably best not include any livestock. )
